Safe Haven was founded in the Fall of 2004 with the intention of offering a safe place for unwanted, abused and at-risk Retrievers throughout Oklahoma. Since that time we have saved over 300 retrievers and other canines from suffering, pain, and unnecessary euthanasia. This was ALL accomplished by dedicated volunteers and community support.
In 2006, upon reflection of our purpose and dedication to reducing pet-overpopulation, we decided to open a LOW COST Spay and Neuter Program to enhance our efforts within the animal community.
Safe Haven Canine Rescue and Spay & Neuter Clinic opened in March 2006. Since we opened our doors in March 2006, we have spayed and neutered over 1500 at-risk dogs and cats and our caring, dedicated staff has performed over 200 FREE Spay and Neuter surgeries for Oklahoma families in need of veterinary care.
Safe Haven also operates a full service Pet Lodge dedicated to quality pet care for animals within the community.
